Craniofacial Orthodontic Fellowship Goals

  • Fellows will be taught by highly qualified faculty

  • Fellows will have adequate clinical experiences to achieve a success in all aspects of care of craniofacial abnormalities

  • Patients will receive comprehensive care that represent the highest level of care possible for the patient and the circumstances   

  • The program will provide a foundation of knowledge in advanced orthodontic care for patients with craniofacial abnormalities and educational experiences that are viewed as relevant by the fellows. 

  • The program will provide a foundation of knowledge in providing advanced orthodontic care for patients with special care needs.

  • Fellows' educational experiences will include assignments for teaching of general dental, pediatric dental residents and oral surgery residents.

  • Fellows will engage in scholarly activity exemplified by participation in research or research-related effort.   

  • Fellows will participate in research. Fellows will present research at a national meeting or for publication.

  • Fellows will collaborate with non-dental craniofacial providers.

  • The Program will strive to stimulate fellows' interest in community service.   

  • The Program will strive to foster in its graduates to practice in under-served areas, to provide treatment to vulnerable populations and remain engaged in dental education.
